Brand overview

One brand's home page. It answers a different question depending on how far along the brand is: a brand that has never published is asked to finish setting up, and a brand that publishes is shown how it is doing.

/brands/{brand}Everyone assigned to the brand; the actions need Editor and above

The page has two shapes

This is worth knowing before anything else, because the overview does not always look the same and nothing is broken when it changes.

ShapeWhen you see it
Getting startedThe brand has never published, never scheduled, never run an automation, and has no social account connected. The page leads with a four-step checklist, the brand voice, and a preview of the products.
WorkingAny one of those four things has happened. The page leads with performance figures, what is scheduled next, a chart, and panels for attention and navigation.
The change is automatic. Connect an account or schedule one post and the page switches on the next load, keeping whatever it can still show.

The page, annotated

The header

The top of the page identifies the brand and does not change between the two shapes.

What you seeWhat it means
A trail of links above the nameBrands leads back to the list. A sub-brand also shows its parent, so you can move up a level.
A coloured square with a letterThe brand has no logo uploaded yet. The colour is the brand's own primary colour, so the placeholder already looks like the brand.
A badge next to the nameShown only when the brand is not active: paused or archived. An active brand carries no badge, which is why most have none.
A Parent Brand badgeThis brand has sub-brands of its own.
A pill of buttons, floating top rightThe brand's actions. It follows you onto every page inside the brand and stays in place while you scroll.

The action pill

Five controls in one pill that follows you through the whole brand. Only the assistant is labelled; the rest are icons with a tooltip.

ActionWhat it does
AI AssistantOpens a conversation about this brand. Ask for content, ask what it knows, or start an automation by describing it. Everyone has it. It is unavailable while discovery runs, because the assistant cannot answer about a brand it is still reading.
InstructionsStanding rules for this brand, applied to every automation and every chat.
Create sub-brandOpens the new brand form already linked to this one as its parent. Hidden on a brand that is itself a sub-brand.
Auto-Discover, then Edit brandBefore the first discovery it reads the brand's website and socials to build its profile. Afterwards the same slot becomes Edit brand and opens what discovery found, which is also where you correct it. Unavailable on an archived brand or while a discovery is already running.
More actionsEdit brand and Delete brand.
Everything except the assistant needs Editor or above. Deleting a brand additionally needs Owner or Manager. The pill is hidden on the chat and discovery pages, which carry these controls in their own headers.

The four setup steps

On a brand that has not started, the page leads with a checklist in the order the steps actually depend on each other. The next unfinished step is the highlighted one; the rest stay plain links you can still use out of order.

StepWhy it comes here
Brand discoveryEverything downstream reads the brand's voice and products. Generating before this produces content about a brand Sparkia has not read yet.
Connect a social accountRequired both to publish and to measure. Without one, posts can be written but never leave the calendar.
Run an automationTurns the brand's voice and products into posts. Nothing generates on its own until one is on.
Schedule the first postThe figures on this page are computed from published posts, so it stays quiet until something has gone out.
A completed step is struck through and dimmed. The counter at the top right of the card is how many of the four are done.

Needs attention

On the working shape, the panel at the top right is the only part of the page that asks you to do something. It lists nothing that is merely interesting, so an empty panel is a real all clear rather than one that failed to load.

What it reportsWhat to do
Automations are pausedNothing scheduled will run for this brand until you resume. Resume leads to the social automation page.
Discovery failedThe brand's profile could not be built. Run discovery again from the pill.
Posts waiting for approvalReview opens the approvals queue.
An automation failedNames the automation and leads to that run, where the error is.
An account is disconnected, or expires soonPublishing will fail until it is reconnected. Reconnect leads to the social page.
Messages waiting for a replyLeads to the comments in the engagement inbox.

Brand voice and the profile

The voice card shows the tone and the content pillars every automation writes from, with a small label saying whether they are the brand's own or inherited from its parent. Inherited means a sub-brand has not been given its own, so the parent's apply.

The Brand profile button opens a read-only reference of everything the brand knows about itself: colours, tone, audience, pricing tier, links, pillars, selling points and competitors. It is a place to look things up. Corrections go through Edit brand or the chat.

What Sparkia has learned

This card appears once there is enough published history to draw conclusions from: best times, best days, formats that work, average engagement, and the most recent thing it noticed.

The score out of 100 measures how much Sparkia knows about the brand, not how well the brand is doing. A brand with a low score is under-described, not underperforming.
The learning page holds the full detail and is where you correct a conclusion you disagree with.

Worth knowing

A brand you cannot see behaves as though it does not exist. Members see only the brands they are assigned to, and an unassigned brand shows the standard not found page rather than a permission error, so nobody can learn what exists by guessing at addresses.
The figures compare two equal windows. The last 30 days against the 30 before, so a change reads against the brand's own recent past rather than a target. Switch with 7d, 30d and 90d.
The performance band only appears once something has been published. A brand that schedules but never publishes stays on the quieter version of the page.
Deleting a brand deletes its sub-brands with it, and the confirmation says how many. There is no undo.
